Our local health practitioners offer pre and exit employment medicals, fit-to-work certification, vaccination guidelines and malaria management planning. We are able to conduct country-specific health risk reviews, together with region-specific health facility audits, site reviews and site-specific strategic health plans.

First Response partners with a network of highly recommended regional hospital service providers to ensure smooth hospital admission and specialist care. With our focus on personalised service, we will ensure that clients’ staff are cared for, from the point of first contact with our medical personnel, throughout the medical evacuation and into hospital care.
First Response has experience in managing several medical evacuations from remote sites in the East Africa region, as well as repatriations and evacuations to South Africa, Europe, the USA, Canada and India. We have a 24/7 operation centre and maintain excellent contacts with the regional medical fraternity, AMREF Flying Doctors and ambulance service providers.
FIRST RESPONSE AMBULANCE SUPPORT
First Response Ambulance support is available around the clock, 24/7 for casualties in need of critical evacuation during emergencies. We also provide hospital ambulance transfers, standby ambulances together with paramedics and first aiders at events.
Calls to First Response ambulance service are prioritized into emergency and non-emergency response categories to ensure life-threatening cases receive the quickest response.
Emergency response together with non-emergency services like hospital to hospital transfers and event standby services attract a small charge depending on distance, personnel required and event duration respectively. Please contact our office for more information on these charges together with our terms and conditions.
We ensure seriously ill and injured patients are treated as quickly as possible, and patients will always be taken to hospital when there is a medical need for this.

Standby Ambulance Support for Events
We also provide standby ambulances and medical support personnel for hospitality, sports, entertainment and conferencing events.
Our subsidized rates depend on the event duration, distance covered and personnel required.
How to request for the event support service
Send us the details of the event a minimum of one week before the date, including the event date, start and end time, nature of the event, location, number of participants, email and telephone contact details, together with the details for the person or organization paying for the event. We will send you a quotation and pro forma invoice within 24 hours. Confirmation of ambulance support will be done once payment has been made.
This will be availed to you once you sign off for the ambulance at the end of the event and within 48 hours.

First Response provides specialist training for those working in remote and hostile environments. We offer a number of accredited First Aid, Wilderness, Trauma and Occupational Health and Safety Training courses. These can be delivered by our experienced trainers on site, or to operational teams in the city centres where clients are based.

First Response provides all advanced life support equipment and pharmaceutical supplies. We have an excellent supplier network from which we source drugs, medical consumables and medical equipment, and we are fully compliant within the countries in which we operate. Considering the risks of sub-standard and counterfeit medication available to the East African market, we have a team of in-house pharmacists to quality check all pharmaceutical products.
